Thee Abundance Project
Thee Abundance Project was designed to create a pathway for women of color to go from beginner to professional road cyclists by eliminating many of the barriers along the way. We started our focus with beginner-friendly initiatives to encourage women to try bike racing for the first time. In 2026 we’re pivoting from grants and focusing on community. If you are a woman of color into road racing, please apply to join Team Abundance for:
WhatsApp community of fellow women of color racing road and the option for resource sharing.
Workshops on curated topics led by experts.
1-on-1 chats for mentorship from retired pro Ayesha McGowan
Discounted access to Trainright Membership from CTS.
Future eligibility for housing support to select travel races (ToAD, Chicago Grit, etc).
If you’d like to support the project, please consider becoming a patron or contributing with a donation.
Thee Abundance Project is proud to be a SRAM Community Partner.
Upcoming Workshop
This sports nutrition talk dives into practical, science-backed fueling strategies to help you unlock stronger performances, faster recovery, optimized overall health, and consistent daily energy. Designed for riders of all levels, the session unpacks the latest research on how to fuel effectively around training, events, and throughout the day so you can get more out of every ride. We’ll also explore how to individualize your approach based on ride duration, intensity, and personal tolerance, taking the guesswork out of what and when to eat. You’ll leave with clear, actionable strategies you can immediately apply to training and race day to ride stronger and feel better doing it.

2025 IMPACT REPORT
Where you could find Team Abundance in 2025
Currently in our fifth year of operation we have supported over 80 women of color to ride and or race road bikes.
Despite losing over 60% of our operating budget in 2025, we were still able run three major programs. Thee Abundance Intermediate road skills camp where riders learned more about road biking skills on and off the bike. Thee Abundance Micro Grant that funded over 240 individual races, and Thee Abundance Mini Grant that fully supported two aspiring bike racers to attend The Tour of America’s Dairyland where rider, Ayodele Gomih won the novice series.
